Thursday’s [Post-Election] Thoughts

Though they tell us the country is divided 50/50 along the lines of “red” and “blue,” the people have spoken–twice now. We’ve made our choice.

We have the leader we deserve.

The man we’ve chosen has made his anti-God sympathies painfully clear through a variety of statements, policies, and positions. Though his publicity sound-bites may try to convey a different impression, actions speak louder than words.

The light is growing dim. But it’s happening so gradually, we hardly even notice anymore. Candle by candle, we who claim to follow Jesus have been hiding under a bushel for fear of offending people who don’t like the light in their eyes.

Don’t you think it’s time we believers get serious about what we’re in this world to do? If people loved the Lord, they wouldn’t love darkness.
