Once the four kids got a little older, I took a stab at writing a novel, plinking away on a typewriter. Had no idea what I was doing, but it sure was fun trying. After completing two full novels, I put that time-wasting endeavor to rest and tried to get on with my life.
I’m not sure if the best analogy is addiction, illness, or an unrequited love affair. Whatever you liken it to, the drive to write is terminal. Some time after we bought our first computer, I started in again. Two more novels later, I tried to quit again, but just couldn’t kick the habit.
So here I am. A writer. Whether anyone likes it or not.
By profession, I’m an administrative assistant. Thanks to God’s amazing grace, I stand among His redeemed. Thanks to my dear husband’s long-suffering toleration of me, I’m happily married. By virtue of both the above, I have four grown children and five grandchildren (who I guarantee are cuter and smarter than yours).
Finally, thanks to all of the above, I have the opportunity to share my writing with the world.
Thank you for visiting me here, and I hope you’ll enjoy your stay.
